Street Cleaning
Chicago uses mechanical street sweepers to remove debris and litter from streets every year beginning April 1st through the Fall season.
From April 1st through mid-November, orange temporary parking restrictions will be posted the day before sweeping service is scheduled to begin. Note one side of the street (East/West or North/South) will be swept on the first date, and the other side of the street (East/West or North/South) will be swept on the second date.
Check the map to determine which zone you live in, and the corresponding street cleaning days.
